Terms of Use
1. Acceptance of these Terms
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Pawky mobile
application for iOS (“Pawky,” “the App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), operated by
Eyal Katz (“Company”).
By downloading, accessing, creating an account, or using Pawky, you agree to
these Terms and to our Privacy Policy (https://pawkycare.com/privacy/). If you
do not agree, do not use the App.
If you use Pawky on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have
authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. Eligibility and age
Pawky is intended for adults. You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of
digital consent in your country, if higher) to create an account and use the
App. If you are under 18 (or the age of majority where you live), you may use
Pawky only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian who
agrees to these Terms.
We do not knowingly offer Pawky to children under 13. See the Privacy Policy
for children’s privacy details.
3. Accounts and authentication
You may sign in using Sign in with Apple, Sign in with Google, or other methods
we enable. You are responsible for:
- keeping your authentication credentials and device access secure;
- all activity that occurs under your account; and
- providing accurate account and profile information.
Notify us promptly at support@pawkycare.com if you believe your account has
been compromised. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
or that present security, legal, or abuse risk.
4. What Pawky is (and is not)
Pawky helps you organize and track dog care information on your iPhone,
including dog profiles, daily care (such as meals, walks, and related entries),
ongoing treatments and health records you enter, reminders, sharing with
trusted care partners, subscription features, and optional summaries.
4.1 No veterinary or medical advice — HIGH RISK AREA
Pawky is a consumer care-tracking tool. It does NOT provide veterinary,
medical, diagnostic, or treatment advice. Nothing in the App — including
reminders, status indicators, care scores, history views, or any on-device
summary or “intelligence” text — is a substitute for professional veterinary
care.
Always consult a licensed veterinarian for questions about your dog’s health.
In an emergency, contact a veterinarian or emergency animal service immediately.
You remain solely responsible for decisions about your dog’s care.
5. Offline-first operation and sync
5.1 Definition of offline-first
Pawky is designed as an offline-first App. For care-related screens, the copy
of data stored on your device (local storage) is the primary source used to
show what you see in the App’s care UI. Remote cloud sync (when available) is
best-effort: it helps reconcile, back up, and share eligible data when network
conditions, subscription and feature policy, and our systems allow.
5.2 Best-effort remote sync
When you are online, Pawky may attempt to synchronize eligible data with our
remote services (including Firebase/Firestore and related storage). Sync may
be delayed, partial, skipped, or fail due to network conditions, device
settings, account status, feature flags, subscription tier, shared-dog role,
rate limits, maintenance, or technical errors.
5.3 Remote storage policy may change
Which data categories we store remotely, for how long, and under what
conditions may change over time as the product evolves (including Remote Config
and server-side policy). Material privacy changes will be addressed under the
Privacy Policy update process.
5.4 No hard obligation to retain or deliver remote copies on demand
Except where applicable law requires otherwise, and except for rights described
in the Privacy Policy (including access, deletion, and any export process we
support), we do not guarantee that a complete remote copy of your care history
will always exist, remain available, or be deliverable on demand. Local device
data may be lost if you delete the App, reset the device, clear App data, or
lose the device. You should not treat Pawky as your sole archive of veterinary
or care records.
6. Your content and dog care data
You retain ownership of the content and care information you submit (“User
Content”), including dog photos, names, notes, care entries, and health records
you enter.
You grant Company a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host,
store, process, transmit, display, and otherwise use User Content solely to:
- operate, maintain, secure, and improve the App;
- sync and share data as you configure (including Share Dog);
- provide customer support; and
- comply with law.
You represent that you have the rights needed to submit User Content and to
share dog-related information with care partners you invite, and that your
User Content does not violate law or third-party rights.
We may remove or restrict User Content that we reasonably believe violates
these Terms, law, or others’ rights, or that creates safety or security risk.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use Pawky for unlawful, harmful, deceptive, or abusive purposes;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data;
- reverse engineer, scrape, or interfere with the App except as permitted by
law;
- upload malware or attempt to disrupt service;
- impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation;
- use Share Dog invitations to grant access to people who should not see the
dog’s care information;
- use the App to provide clinical veterinary services to third parties as a
regulated practice (unless you have independent legal authority; Pawky still
provides no clinical advice); or
- misuse analytics, crash reporting, deeplinks, QR codes, or invitation links.
We may investigate and take action, including suspension or termination, for
violations.
8. Share Dog (care partners)
8.1 Overview
Share Dog lets a dog’s primary owner invite trusted people as
“care partners” so they can view the dog’s profile and care information and,
subject to subscription rules, add or update daily care. Invitations may be
shared by QR code or link that opens via Universal Links on pawky.app under
/app/... (for example, share-dog invite paths). Marketing and legal documents
are hosted on pawkycare.com and are separate from app-open Universal Links.
8.2 Roles
- Primary owner: the user designated as the primary owner for the dog; creates
invitations, manages sharing within product capabilities, and is responsible
for choosing trusted invitees.
- Care partner: a user who accepts a valid invitation and is added to the dog’s
care-partner list; can view shared care information and may write daily
care only when their subscription and account status allow.
Care partners do not manage invitations the way the primary owner does (unless the
product later grants that capability and these Terms are updated).
8.3 Responsibilities and consent
Before creating an invitation, the primary owner must complete in-app consent,
including acknowledgment of Share Dog terms and privacy disclosures and the
sensitivity of sharing care information. Consent version stamps
(termsVersion / privacyVersion from Remote Config legal values) may be stored
with the consent record.
By inviting someone, you represent that they are authorized to see the dog’s
information you share. By accepting an invitation, you represent that you are
authorized to access that dog’s care information.
Share Dog may make your display name and profile photo (if set) visible to the
primary owner and other care partners for that dog. See the Privacy Policy Share
Dog sections.
Invitations are time-limited (currently approximately one hour while active,
subject to product configuration and server rules), may be accepted by multiple
eligible users while active, and require network connectivity to create or
accept. We may cap the number of care partners per dog by subscription tier or
configuration.
8.4 Subscription effects on Share Dog
Viewing a shared dog after accept is generally available on Pawky Free, Pawky
Together, and Pawky Plus. Writing daily care on a shared dog generally requires
Pawky Together or Pawky Plus with an eligible subscription status (for example,
active or billing grace, as implemented). Creating invitations is a primary-owner
capability subject to product limits and feature flags, not solely the Free /
Together / Plus marketing labels.
8.5 Hierarchy
This Share Dog section supplements the full Terms. If there is a conflict, the
full Terms control except where a more specific Share Dog clause expressly
prevails for sharing mechanics. In-app “How sharing works” copy is explanatory
and is not a substitute for these Terms.
9. Subscriptions, purchases, and entitlements
9.1 Plans
Pawky may offer:
- Pawky Free
- Pawky Together
- Pawky Plus
Exact features available on each plan are described in the App and may change.
Do not treat informal words like “Premium” as a plan name; the plan names above
are the product names.
9.2 Apple App Store billing
Paid subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed by Apple via StoreKit /
the App Store. Payment, renewal, cancellation, and refund requests for App
Store purchases are handled under Apple’s terms and policies. We may use
RevenueCat or similar entitlement services to help recognize and sync your
subscription status in the App.
9.3 Auto-renewal, cancel, restore
If you purchase an auto-renewing subscription:
- it renews unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current
period (or as Apple’s then-current rules require);
- you manage or cancel in your Apple ID / App Store subscription settings; and
- you can use Restore Purchases (or equivalent) in the App to re-link eligible
App Store purchases to your account on a device.
Price and duration are shown in the App / App Store product sheet before you
buy. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access during billing issues, grace
periods, or entitlement sync delays.
9.4 Feature access
Some capabilities (for example, certain Reminders, write access for ongoing treatments or health records, extended
Care History, Monthly summary, or shared-dog writes) are gated by plan,
role, Remote Config feature flags, and/or online requirements. Gating in the
App controls access; it does not expand Apple’s refund rules.
10. On-device summaries and “intelligence” features
When enabled (including by Remote Config and subscription eligibility), Pawky
may generate optional on-device narrative summaries (for example, monthly care
summaries using on-device model capabilities such as Apple Intelligence /
Foundation Models when available on your device).
These outputs are automated, may be incomplete or incorrect, and are for
general informational reflection only. They are not veterinary advice,
diagnosis, or a care plan. You should verify important facts against your own
records and professional advice. Generation may fail if the device model is
unavailable, restricted, or the feature flag is off.
11. Device permissions and OS features
Pawky may request access to camera, photo library, notifications, Face ID /
Touch ID or device passcode (for App Lock), and other OS permissions. You can
change permissions in iOS Settings. Denying a permission may limit related
features (for example, QR invite scanning, dog photos, or reminders).
App Lock is a convenience feature to help reduce casual access on your device.
It is not a guarantee against all unauthorized access, forensic extraction, or
compromise of a unlocked or jailbroken device.
12. Links, QR codes, and Universal Links
Invitation and app-open links use the pawky.app domain under /app/... paths.
Marketing and legal pages use pawkycare.com. Do not rely on marketing URLs to
open the App via Universal Links. QR codes and links may expire or become
invalid; treat them as sensitive because they can grant access to shared dog
information.
13. Third-party services
The App relies on third parties such as Apple (Sign in with Apple, App Store,
Push Notifications, on-device models), Google (Sign in with Google where
enabled), Firebase (including Authentication, Firestore, Storage, Analytics,
Crashlytics, Remote Config, and related services), and RevenueCat. Their terms
and privacy practices apply to their processing. We are not responsible for
third-party services we do not control, except as required by law.
14. Service availability and changes
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features (including via Remote Config)
with or without notice, where permitted by law. We do not warrant that the App
will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available in every region or on every
device. Offline use depends on what is already stored on your device.
15. Disclaimers
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PAWKY IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS
AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR
STATUTORY, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE,
TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS,
OR RELIABILITY OF CARE DATA, SYNC STATUS, SCORES, REMINDERS, OR AI-GENERATED
TEXT.
SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN DISCLAIMERS; IN THOSE JURISDICTIONS,
DISCLAIMERS APPLY TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED.
16. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COMPANY AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS,
EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL,
SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA,
PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF PAWKY, EVEN IF
ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS
RELATING TO THE APP OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE
AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO US FOR PAWKY SUBSCRIPTIONS IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE
CLAIM (EXCLUDING APPLE’S COMMISSION AND TAXES REMITTED TO APPLE), OR (B)
USD 50 (OR EQUIVALENT).
NOTHING IN THESE TERMS LIMITS LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE LIMITED UNDER
APPLICABLE LAW (INCLUDING LIABILITY FOR FRAUD OR WILFUL MISCONDUCT, OR
CONSUMER RIGHTS THAT CANNOT BE WAIVED).
17. Indemnity
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you will defend and indemnify Company
against claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’
fees) arising from your User Content, your misuse of Share Dog, your violation
of these Terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights — except to the
extent caused by our willful misconduct or as prohibited by law.
18. Termination and account deletion
You may stop using Pawky at any time and may delete your account through
in-app account deletion flows when available, or by contacting
support@pawkycare.com. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these
Terms or if we discontinue the service.
After termination or deletion, sections that by nature should survive
(including ownership of User Content subject to deletion commitments,
licenses needed for residual copies, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity,
and governing law) survive. Deletion and retention details are in the Privacy
Policy. Offline-first local copies on other devices or care partners’ devices
may persist until those users delete data or we complete eligible remote
deletion — counsel to confirm wording against actual deletion pipeline.
19. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard
to conflict-of-law rules, except that consumers may retain mandatory
protections of their country of residence.
20. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The “VERSION” and effective date will change when
we publish updates at https://pawkycare.com/terms/. For material changes, we
may also provide in-app notice or update Remote Config legal version values
used for Share Dog consent. Continued use after the effective date constitutes
acceptance, except where applicable law requires additional consent.

22. Apple-required notice (App Store)
You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Company, not Apple. Apple
is not responsible for the App or its content. Apple has no obligation to
furnish maintenance or support. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple
has no warranty obligation with respect to the App; any claims are between you
and Company (subject to these Terms). Apple is not responsible for addressing
claims relating to the App or your possession/use of it, including product
liability, legal/regulatory compliance, or consumer protection claims. In the
event of a third-party intellectual property claim related to the App, Company
(not Apple) is responsible for investigation, defense, settlement, and
discharge as required. Apple and Apple’s subsidiaries are third-party
beneficiaries of this section and may enforce it. You represent you are not in
a U.S. embargoed country and not on a U.S. sanctioned-party list, and that you
will comply with applicable export rules.
